Monday 14th March – bike **** – Short two rivers, Orwell to the Deben including lunch at Landguard – sunny and mild.

Walk **** - sunrise prom walk :)

Yesterday’s rain had cleared away waking to a lovely morning with light winds ideal for a sunrise prom walk. Setting off at 6.10 which was actually the time of the sunrise but there was a bank of cloud out to sea so it was delayed until around 6.30:) It was lovely along the prom being so quiet just the odd dog walker, a large MSC container ship was slowly making its way into port with two tugs waiting. Then up through the Spa Garden taking loads of pics before heading home for a cuppa in bed, I got lucky with my Wordle today and did it in two, result, I then sorted out my pics and was lucky enough to get one on Chris Pages weather forecast on ITV, s About Anglia!

Bike ****

The good weather continued all day, managed some of my exercises in the back garden until it briefly clouded over so I came indoors and put T. Rex on the record player:) I then made a yummy sandwich and when Mag had finished pottering in the garden, we headed out on our bikes at 1.20. Down to Langer Park and through Landguard Nature reserve rabbit spotting and onto our spot on the old jetty for lunch which was fantastic, so lucky to have this close to home. The sunlight glistened off the Orwell and we shared our sandwich with a coupe of gulls with some Turn Stones on the beach below. One of the gulls then fished a starfish out of the sea and started to eat it, time to move on! Back along the prom with Mag turning up Bent and home while I carried onto the Ferry, easy with a tail wind! I sat by the jetty to eat my Cadbury’s cream eggs, sadly not a black and white chocolate one which would have been worth up to £10,000! I did not bother with the boat yard today and just biked home the short route, mainly into a head wind! I sent a few more pics to the TV weather and some of Mags lovely daffodils from her front garden were chosen as Editers Pick but sadly it did not get on TV!
